Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Delta Dividends LLC, operator of wheelstrategy.io ("the Site," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. This Policy is incorporated into, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service.
Information We Collect
Automatically Collected Information
When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect certain information through analytics and tracking services, including:
- IP address (anonymized or truncated where the tool supports it)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device type
- Referring website and pages visited
- Time spent on pages and navigation paths
- Date and time of visit
- Screen resolution
- Click patterns, scroll behavior, and session recordings (via Microsoft Clarity)
Information You Provide
The Site does not require user registration or accounts. The calculators on the Site process all inputs locally in your browser — no trade data or calculator inputs are transmitted to our servers. If you choose to subscribe to our email newsletter or contact us, we collect the information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address or the contents of your message.
Analytics & Tracking Services
We use the following third-party services to understand how visitors use the Site. Each operates as an independent data controller or processor under its own privacy terms:
Google Analytics
Collects aggregate data about site traffic using cookies and similar technologies. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Microsoft Clarity
Analyzes user behavior through session recordings, heatmaps, and click tracking. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
Matomo
We run a self-hosted instance of Matomo, a web analytics platform, to measure aggregate traffic and usage patterns. Data collected by Matomo is stored on infrastructure we control rather than shared with a third-party analytics vendor. See Matomo's Privacy Policy for information about how the platform itself processes data.
Umami Analytics
A privacy-focused analytics alternative. Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable data. See Umami's Privacy Policy.
Email Newsletter
If you choose to subscribe to email updates, we collect and store your email address using Kit (formerly ConvertKit), a third-party email service provider, which processes that data on our behalf to deliver newsletters and educational content. We do not sell your email address. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or by contacting us at [email protected]. See Kit's Privacy Policy for details on how it processes subscriber data.
Cookies & Local Storage
The Site uses the following types of cookies and local storage:
- Theme Preference (strictly necessary): We store your light/dark mode preference in your browser's localStorage to provide a consistent experience across visits. This is not a tracking cookie and is not shared with any third party.
- Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and our self-hosted Matomo instance set cookies to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions, as described in Analytics & Tracking Services above.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Because Umami does not use cookies, and our localStorage theme preference is not a tracking mechanism, disabling cookies will primarily affect the analytics services listed above, not core site functionality.
How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
- Understand how visitors interact with the Site
- Improve Site content, layout, and performance
- Monitor Site traffic and usage patterns
- Identify and fix technical issues
- Send newsletter content to subscribers who opt in
- Respond to inquiries sent through our contact form or email
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process personal data under the following legal bases: (a) legitimate interests, for aggregate analytics used to operate and improve the Site; (b) consent, for optional activities such as subscribing to our newsletter, which you may withdraw at any time; and (c) legal obligation, where processing is required to comply with applicable law.
Data Sharing & Disclosure
We share information with the analytics and email service providers described above so they can perform services on our behalf, and we may disclose information: to comply with a legal obligation, subpoena, or governmental request; to protect and defend our rights or property; to prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Site; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements. We do not otherwise share, sell, or disclose personal information to third parties.
International Data Transfers
The Site is operated from the United States, and the third-party services listed above may process and store data on servers located in the United States or other countries. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country that may have different data protection laws than your own jurisdiction.
Data Retention
Analytics data collected by third-party services (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Umami) is retained according to each provider's own default retention policies. Data collected by our self-hosted Matomo instance is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the analytical purposes described in this Policy, after which it is deleted or aggregated. Email addresses collected for the newsletter are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. We do not maintain our own database of user browsing history.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and similar laws), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion ("erasure") of your data
- Request restriction of, or object to, our processing of your data
- Request a portable copy of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar laws in other U.S. states, may give you the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used; request deletion or correction of your personal information; opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, some analytics and advertising cookies described in this Policy may be considered "sharing" under the broad definitions used by California law. You can limit this by declining non-essential cookies in your browser or by using the opt-out tools referenced in Analytics & Tracking Services. To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected]; you may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
Some browsers support a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal or the Global Privacy Control (GPC). Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting these signals, the Site does not currently respond to DNT or GPC signals in an automated way. You can still limit tracking using the browser- and provider-level opt-out tools described elsewhere in this Policy.
Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, individuals under the age of 18, consistent with our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
External Links
The Site may contain links to external websites, including third-party tools we mention or promote. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any external site you visit.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Site and its infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Calculator inputs are processed entirely client-side in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers, which limits the risk associated with that specific data.
Data Breach Notification
In the event of a security incident that compromises personal information we hold (such as newsletter subscriber emails), we will notify affected individuals and, where legally required, applicable regulators, without undue delay and in accordance with applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
Contact
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, or wish to exercise any privacy right described above, please contact us at [email protected].
